There are many things that enhance our employee engagement and satisfaction. One main factor is that we create opportunities for everyone at WLR. We constantly are promoting from within our company and giving employees a change to develop professionally. There is open communication and transparency. We have built a culture that we are really proud of. We are in our communities helping where we are needed. Our company, and specifically our President and CEO Randall Simpson, truly cares about each employee and prioritizes our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. When you are a part of a work family like this one, you fell truly blessed. We also use a platform called BeeKeeper and it’s very much like a Facebook for just our company. We utilize BeeKeeper to stay connected with all the different brands that make up WLR.
A huge part of employee satisfaction is our company events. We have taken long weekend trips as a whole company, held Golf Tournaments to celebrate our anniversary, held Holiday Parties to celebrate our employees, attended motivational gatherings, and more!
We are continuing to track employee engagement and analyze our turnover rates. What makes people stay or leave – digging deeper into our hiring and training process. There are meetings held to get insight and feedback on how we can do better as a company. Employees are everything at WLR; they are what keeps our business running and we strive to make everyone feel seen, heard, and appreciated.
Our well-being is at the utmost importance at WLR and it plays a central role in fostering a thriving workforce. We have a whole Wellness Month where we post topics on BeeKeeper. We give pertinent information on mental and physical health. Over the past 3 years, the ladies at our corporate office have gone on Women Retreats where we are able to build closer relationships with each other and focus on our well-being.
We start our employee experience with an amazing Onboarding Program. The first thing they log into is HR CLOUD! YAY! And from there, they are easily guided through the onboarding process. Once completed, they join me at an in-person Orientation held at our corporate office. That person touch, the one-on-one experience to really get to know our company before even spending their first day at their specific location, really gets them off on the right foot. Coming in and learning about the culture at WLR really gets new hires into the mindset of who we are and what a wonderful company they are working for.
